Wine tradition in Galán’s family stared at the begging of last century, with Manuel Galán Nilo. He arrived at Molina, a town in the privileged valley of Lontue, to excersis as the doctor of the town. A few year later, in 1914, Manuel purchased the vineyard “Los Olivos”, starting with the wine tradition in our family.
Later, Álvaro, the youngest of his sons, stared working in differnte winemaking activities, being a prominent wine rider in Chile. He in turn, transmitted to his children the love and the passion for the work, the field and the vineyards. In 1991, together with three of his sons Álvaro Manuel, Francisco and Jorge, acquired the present land of Viña Galán.
Álvaro Manuel, the is the general manager of the company, while Jorge and Francisco are the oenologist and commercial manager respectively.
The name “Vitivinícola Siete Tazas Ltda” was adopted in honor of one of the most recognized areas of the Maule region. Inside the “Radal Siete Tazas National Reserve”, you can find seven waterfalls and respective “cups” that the Claro de Molina (Region VII of Maule, Chile) has formed over thousands of years.
Today Viña Galán, with its fourth generation, guides its management to the production of high-end export wines, showing the world the privileged national terroir for the production of wines of excellence. Currently, annual production is exported to more than 20 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America.
Manuel Galán founded Viña Galán,
with the acquisition of the vineyard Los Olivos.
Álvaro, Manuel’s son, realizes the Installation of new
production warehouses for national sales.
Current vineyards are acquired and the new wine cellar is built with modern technology and barrel room. A sustainable drip irrigation system is implemented.
Galán Vineyard consolidates itself as a brand and with this begins the export
of wines worldwide.
Presence in more than 40 countries with 60 own brands
The vineyard strengthens its presence in the US market with the opening of a commercial office, and own warehouses for distribution.
The offer is expanded with the production of different formats and strains, which, under strict quality standards, facilitate customer and consumer loyalty.
